How Can I help Right now?

  • Like Kaufman PTO on Facebook!
  • Enroll in the Kroger Community Rewards Program! This program is a great way to raise money for our school, but the registration expires for everyone each year on August 1st. If you were registered last year, it has to be redone this year.  Our organization number is 90144.
  • Submit photos to the yearbook!  Send in any pictures you may take when visiting Kaufman for events.  Visit images.balfour.com to upload from your computer.  Use project number 718770 and password Kaufman.  You can also search for the “Balfour Image Share” app in your app marketplace and use to share pictures from your phone.

How Can I volunteer on campus?

We would love to have you volunteer on campus. All adults that visit the campus while school is in session must submit a Volunteer Application form to CISD. This application must be submitted again each year. If you would be interested in helping in any of the areas below, please email [email protected]

Kaufman Elementary School Supplies 2016-2017

The Kaufman PTO has arranged a school supply sale (view flyer) that will ship directly to your address.  You will have the option to customize your order by adding or removing items from your purchase.  Orders ship within 10 days, so to ensure you receive your order in time for “meet the teacher,” please place your order at www.schooltoolbox.com by August 2nd.

RESCHEDULED – Fun Day

May Fun Day is now JUNE fun day!

Friday, May 27th is May Fun Day!

May Fun Day is a day for all grade levels to enjoy during their specials time. We need many volunteers to help work the different stations and activities planned. Leftover yearbooks will be on sale during May Fun Day. This will be on a first come, first serve basis for $30 cash only.  We will open the sale table after May Fun Day has kicked off (around 8:30am).

May 16th – May 20th

Children’s Book Week
  • Monday – “Cougars are CRAZY for books!”  Show just how crazy you are for books.  Everyone come to school dressed crazy from head to toe. . .the crazier the better!
  • Tuesday – “Dreams Come True with Books!!!!”  Everyone may come to school in pjs (school appropriate attire) ready to snuggle up with a good book.
  • Wednesday – “Hats OFF to GREAT BOOKS!”  Everyone wear their favorite hat to school.
  • Thursday – “BOOKS give you SUPER POWERS!”  Everyone may come to school dressed as their favorite superhero or create their own unique superhero.
  • Friday – “Cougars READ like Rock/Super STARS!”  Everyone may come to school, dressed and ready to read like a Rock or Super Star!

May 2nd – May 6th

***Teacher Appreciation Week***

 

  • Monday – Write your teacher a note and tell them why they are a SUPERSTAR!  (There is a place to write a note on the Tuesday folder flyers).
  • Tuesday – As a super fan, shower your teacher with their FAVORITE SNACK. (The PTO is providing lunch, if you’d like to help, click  here:Luncheon Volunteer Signup)
  • Wednesday – Superstars are trend setters, wear your teacher’s FAVORITE COLOR!
  • Thursday – Trouble on the SET! Your superstar needs supplies! Bring in an item from your teacher’s wish list!
  • Friday – *Curtain Call* Give your superstar a FLOWER!  Create you own flower or bring them a fresh flower.

Kendra Scott Spirit Night is April 26th from 6-8pm.  Come and enjoy refreshments while you shop at 9595 Six Pines Drive, The Woodlands.

 

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 2nd – May 6th.   The PTO will be providing lunch for the teachers and staff on Tuesday, May 3rd. We are looking for volunteers to help supply salads/desserts and to cover lunch duty so all of the teachers can eat together. Please consider signing up for a shift or two. Please bring your lunch and join us and Captain Spurger to learn more about Internet Safety for Children and Teens in conjunction with The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Topics to be covered, include:

  • Familiarization with tricks Online Predators use to lure and prey on Children and Teens
  • The risks associated with online gaming
  • Awareness about mobile Apps such as Snap Chat, Tango, Meet Me and Kick: Does that post REALLY delete like your kids think it does?
  • Trending “Teen Text Lingo” all parents should be aware of
  • Where you can go for help if you child is becomes a victim
  • The presentation will be 45 minutes long and there will be time for Q&A following the presentation.

Friday, April 1st is the last day to purchase admission to the Kaufman Neon Birthday Bash.  Send in your order form with your money today! Tickets will not be sold at the door.

Volunteers needed to work on the 2016-2017 yearbook! We need people to take pictures of events at school next year and a chairperson to work with Balfour on the design. Our current chair will be available for questions. Email [email protected] if you are interested.

 

Online yearbook sales for 2015-2016 ended February 15th.  Ads can still be placed until March 15th through balfour.com.  Any extra yearbooks received by the PTO will be placed on sale during May Fun Day.  Watch for more information here in May.

Mooyah Spirit Night is Thursday, February 18th from 4pm – 8pm. Be sure to take your flyer from your Tuesday folder so Kaufman receives credit.  You can download a copy here.

 

Due to the 4th grade field trip, the PTO meeting has been rescheduled from February 18th to February 25th.  We will meet at 1:30 in the PTO room.

 

The Spirit Store will be open on Friday, February 19th during all lunches.  Look for a price list in your child’s Tuesday folder or download a copy here.

We’re already planning for next year!

Volunteer forms for board and committee chairs went home in the Tuesday folders.  We have many places where volunteers would be welcome.  Please check the “PTO job descriptions” tab on this site for descriptions of all the spots we hope to fill.  We would love to hear from someone wishing to fill the “volunteer coordinator” spot or the “teacher appreciation” spot.  These two volunteer spots are PTO board members and would be expected to attend PTO meetings during the school year.  The times for these meetings will be based on board members availability.  Please submit a volunteer form or email [email protected] if interested.
